OPERA FUTURA is a Stage & Production Management body established in Verona in 2010 producing and performing operas, symphonic gala events and festivals paying particular attention to offering high quality standard productions within the sustainable opera concept, based on operating budget's observance. Paolo Panizza, stage director and set designer - since 1984 also assistant to M° Pier Luigi Pizzi throughout the most prestigious italian ed european opera houses - is its art director and M° Massimo Taddia its music director.
In 2011 Opera Futura has collaborated in "Il trovatore" by Giuseppe Verdi with the Fondazione Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari opening at Teatro Politeama Greco in Lecce, then Gaetano Donizetti's "The elixir of love" opened at Teatro Verdi in Sassari and in many italian opera houses. This production has also been chosen for the 2012 New Year's Concert in Rimini.
In 2012 Opera Futura has signed an international partnership with the Colorado Opera at Boulder (Denver, US) internationally opening its collaborations and coproductions. First opera to be produced from this partnership has been Giacomo Puccini's "Madama Butterfly".
In 2013 Opera Futura has produced Giuseppe Verdi's "La traviata" for the New Year's Concert in Rimini, "The elixir of love" for the prestigious Pafos Aphrodite Festival in Cyprus, G. Puccini's "La bohème" (Colorado, US) and G. Verdi's "Un ballo in maschera" (Vigevano, Italy) in coproduction with the Colorado Opera at Boulder (US), and F. Lèhar's new production of "The merry widow" for the 2014 New Year's Concert in Rimini.
In April 2014 Opera Futura's production of "The elixir of love" by Gaetano Donizetti was performed at the Seoul Arts Center (Korea) and in September 2014 Opera Futura will be honoured to come back to the XVI Pafos Aphrodite Festival in Cyprus with the new production of "Così fan tutte" by W. A. Mozart. In fall season 2014 will be premièred the new productions of G. Verdi's "Il trovatore" at the Teatro Sociale di Rovigo and Savona (Italy), G. Donizetti's "The elixir of love" and G. Verdi's "La traviata" at Teatro Cagnoni di Vigevano (Italy).
